Gasoline goes up VND590 per liter

According to Petrolimex, the latest adjustment follows Government Decree No. 84/2009/ND-CP. This links closely with developments of worldwide petrol prices.

Vuong Thai Dung, vice general director of Petrolimex, told Vietnamnet that A92 petrol had averaged US$83 a barrel over the last 30 days. Its latest price was US$85. If the old petrol prices were maintained, the company would lose VND800 per liter.

The company noted that at stations of Petrolimex, Flexicard holders would get discounts of VND200 or VND210 per liter, depending on the region. The discounts are valid until February 28.
